TEFLON® Bags and Fabricated Parts
FEP, PFA Films & Extruded FEP Lay Flat Tubing
TEFLON® Lay Flat Bags are ideal for demanding applications and provide the following benefits:
withstands high temp applications 400°F (205°C)- suitable for cryogenic use -400°F(-240°C)
- autoclavable
- visually clear and provides a high transmittance of UV light
- virtually indestructible to impact and tearing
- no electrical tracking, non-wettable, and non-charring
- antistick and low frictional properties
- easily cleaned and reused
- inert for non contaminating samples
- low permeability to liquids, gases, moisture and organic vapors
- weather resistant
- chemically inert and solvent resistant to virtually all chemicals (except molten alkali metals, gaseous fluorine, complex halogenated compounds at elevated pressure and temperature)
TEFLON® FEP Lay Flat Bags are manufactured from DuPont FEP, Type L TEFLON® film, and Extruded FEP Lay Flat Tubing. FEP, Type L TEFLON® film is a higher molecular weight material than FEP, Type A film making it superior for applications that involve extreme conditions.
Custom TEFLON® Bags
American Durafilm designs and manufactures to order any size bag in our manufacturing facility located in Holliston, Massachusetts. Every TEFLON® bag is made in the USA for any quantity small or large.
Custom fittings can be installed and rigid TEFLON® tubing can be heat sealed into bags allowing gases and liquids to flow in and out. We specialize in heat sealing a variety of high performance thin films including:
- DuPont TEFLON® FEP Type L 3.0mil and 5.0mil
- Extruded FEP Lay Flat Tubing in thicknesses from 3.0mil to 10mil
- DuPont TEFLON® PFA Type LP 2.0mil and 5.0mil
- DuPont TEFZEL® Type LZ 2.0mil and 5.0mil
- DuPont TEDLAR® PVF 2.0mil
- VICTREX® PEEK 3.0mil and 5.0mil
- DuPont KAPTON® Type FN in various thicknesses
All heat seals are made on state of the art thermal impulse heat sealing equipment, insuring maximum seal strength. If required, bags can be leak and burst tested with certification. TEFLON® bags are manufactured and packaged using “Industrial Clean” conditions to ensure their quality and cleanliness, with reduced particulate matter.
TEFLON® Films can be heat sealed into various configurations and used in the following applications:
- bags for cryogenic storage of tissue and cell cultures
- sampling bags for gases and liquids
- tank, drum and pail liners
- protective hoods and gloves
- large panels and blankets
- chemical storage bags
