FEP Heat Shrinkable Roll Covers and Extruded Lay Flat Tubing
American Durafilm Co. is an authorized distributor of Saint-Gobain's FEP Heat Shrinkable Roll Covers and Extruded Lay Flat Tubing. If required, we provide expert installation of these covers on customer supplied rolls. Our inventory of Extruded Lay Flat Tubing, which is ideal for bag applications, is available in various thicknesses and widths and supplied as roll stock.
Variety of Products and Sizes
The vast majority of our Heat Shrinkable Roll Covers are produced from TEFLON® FEP resin. Our extensive product line offers Heat Shrinkable Roll Covers in nominal diameters of 1" (25.4mm) to 12" (305mm) and in standard lengths from 3' (.9m) to 20' (6.1m). The Roll Covers have a nominal 0.020 (0.51mm) thickness after shrinkage. See section on Specifications for the diameter best suited for your roller.

Etched on the interior for bonding to the roller, whether it be rubber or metal. We recommend bonding the Heat Shrinkable Roll Cover for rollers larger than 12" (305mm) diameter, driven rollers, pressure rollers, and rollers of any diameter operating in wet environments or temperatures exceeding 150°F (66°C).

- Produced from TEFLON® PFA resin. PFA offers a greater flex life and a higher temperature resistance.
- Larger in Diameters. On a custom basis, we have the capabililty of offering a seamless Roll Cover up to 26" (660mm) in diameter.
- Different in Wall Thickness. Thickness less than 0.020 (0.51mm) and up to 0.090 (2.29mm) can be produced.
- Specific in expansion and shrinkage characteristics for specific applications.
- Smaller in diameter than nominal 1" (25.4mm).Variety of heat shrinkable products less than 1" (25.4mm) diameter.
Applications For Heat Shrinkable Roll Covers
FEP roll covers are currently utilized in a broad and varied spectrum of industries. Naturally, most of these are for a round roller but there are numerous exceptions. Also, for some applications, anti-stick characteristics are not even a factor. Major industries are:

FEP heat shrinkable roll covers can be easily installed at most plant sites. The necessary equipment includes hot air gun(s) capable of delivering temperatures from 500°F (260°C) to 705°F (399°C) and a method for rotating the roller. Every Roll Cover shipped includes a detailed procedure for the installation.
